Vending Curiosity

There are some questions I know I had when I first started vending. There are so many things that you have to be wondering when trying to start your own vending business. I have outlined below some of the questions I had along with the answers to help you get past that curiosity phase and into the start-up phase.

1. Are vending machines profitable?

Yes, vending machines can be profitable. On average, a vending machine tends to earn $35 a week. If your vending machine is well-stocked, in a high-traffic and safe area there is the possibility that your vending machine can generate up to $400 per week.

2. Do vending machine owners pay rent?

Yes, vending machine owners pay rent or commission to the owner of the building. The cost is generally between 5-20% of the vending machine sales.

3. Are vending machines taxed?

Vending machines are charged sales tax on the revenue they generate. The amount can vary from state to state so it is important to do your research on your state's sales taxes.

4. Where can you place vending machines?

Offices, retail shops, bowling alleys, etc. are key spaces for vending machines. Commercial spaces tend to be the biggest markets for vending services, but you'll need to sign a contract with the property owner before placing your vending machine.
